Veronica's areas of specialty include critical care, nursing leadership, and quality improvement. She is currently certified as a Nurse Executive. Her areas of research include leadership and the application of evidence-based research, and quality improvement. She maintains membership in several organizations, include the National League of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau, American Nurses Association, New York Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders and the National Association for Healthcare Quality. She is currently certified as a Nurse Executive and Nurse Educator. Veronica acts as a peer reviewer for Quality Matters and a peer evaluator for the ACEN. Her professional achievements include several poster presentations: "Using Appreciative Inquiry to Facilitate Supportive Leadership Strategies" and "Strategies to Improve Communication Among Nursing and the Interprofessional Team." Her DNP project was titled "Delirium Assessment in the Medical-Surgical Population: A Quality Improvement Project."

Janice has a variety of clinical experience including a focus on community and public health nursing as well as long term care. She has a clinical nurse specialty practice focus in rehabilitation nursing. Janice is an active participant in the Pi Zeta chapter of Sigma as well as the Association of Community Health Nurse Educators (ACHNE), Professional Nurses Organization and the Professional Ski Instructors of America. Her research interests include nursing education, transition to practice, and quality patient care. Her research dissertation is entitled, "Perceptions of Western New York Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurse Educators and Directors of Nursing Regarding Certified Nursing Assistant Initial Training and Continuing Education". Janice's professional achievements include poster and podium presentations as well as online presentations and speaking engagements. She was also awarded the Zonta International Yellow Rose award for her contributions to the community in the area of nursing education.

Dr. Leiser鈥檚 areas of experience as a nurse include CCU, ER, PACU, and Critical Care float. As an NP, she is board certified in adult health through the ANCC and Wound care Certified through NAWCO. She has experience as a hospitalist, subacute rehab, wound care, and long-term care. She has a fondness for caring for the geriatric population, which is her current area of clinical practice. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Nurse Practitioner Association. She has a love of the nursing profession and true love of educating fellow nurses. Her doctoral project is entitled 鈥淭he Impact of Mentoring on Role Transition for New Graduate Nurse Practitioners.鈥 Elizabeth is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia but moved to the Buffalo area in 2006 where she lives with her husband and twin daughters.

Amanda has focused her nursing career in obstetrics, with experience in Mother-Baby, Nursery and Labor and Delivery and is a member of Postpartum Support International and Professional Nursing Association of Western New York. She started her career in nursing education in 2018 as a nursing instructor in both lecture and clinical settings for both the Associates and Baccalaureate programs. Amanda is currently teaching in the RN to BS program. Her dissertation was titled 鈥淟ong-Term Math Skills Acquisition for Accurate Medication Calculations鈥. Her research interests include perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and game-based learning.

Marci worked in clinical practice for Cardiovascular Surgery/ Thoracic Surgery as well as an Acute Care Practitioner. She is the founder and former owner of Western New York Healthcare Education LLC teaching CPR, BLS, ACLS, ACLS EP, Pears and PALS for American Heart Association. Marci has created and presented many educational programs for area facilities. She is the former President of AACN of Western New York from 2020.
Marci is the mother of 3 and proud grandmother of an amazing granddaughter. She loves to vacation with Disney being her favorite destination. Marci also enjoys swimming and bike riding.

Nicole White brings nearly two decades of bedside nursing experience spanning long-term care to intensive care settings. Passionate about shaping the next generation of nurses, she transitioned into nursing education in 2018 and teaches in both didactic and clinical settings. Nicole is an active member of the American Nurses Association, New York State Nurses Association, Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, and the Professional Nurses Association of Western New York, and the New York League for Nursing. Beyond the classroom, she serves her community as an Advanced EMT and advocates for the nursing profession through her interest in legislative and policy issues. Her scholarly work centers on fostering resilience in nursing students through innovative engagement strategies and the thoughtful integration of technology.
Adjunct Faculty
Part-time or adjunct faculty are also utilized as needed in the nursing programs based on student enrollment and curricular needs. They are frequently utilized as external learning/clinical instructors, and work in conjunction with a full-time faculty member. Part-time and adjunct faculty are hired based upon their credentials, areas of expertise and/or area of clinical practice. All part-time and adjunct faculty are currently working in clinical practice.
