Fountain in Saffrin Public SquareThe 2025–2030 Campus Facilities Master Plan establishes a disciplined, mission-driven framework for capital investment that supports ̨ÍåSwag’s academic excellence, student experience, and long-term institutional sustainability. Building directly on the momentum and outcomes of the 2020–2025 Master Plan, this document reflects a period of maturation for the institution—one characterized by thoughtful investment and sequencing of projects, and alignment with both enrollment realities and fiscal stewardship.

As with the prior plan, facilities planning at ̨ÍåSwag is not viewed as an isolated exercise, but rather as an extension of institutional strategy. This plan was developed in close coordination with the President’s Cabinet and the Master Plan Steering Committee to ensure that capital priorities reinforce academic mission, student success, and operational effectiveness. The resulting framework balances aspiration with pragmatism and positions the university to respond nimbly to evolving needs.

The guiding principles that shaped the 2020–2025 Master Plan remain central to this work:

  • Student Centricity – Facilities must support learning, belonging, wellness, and engagement while remaining competitive in a challenging higher education landscape.
  • Inclusive Community – Campus environments must be welcoming, accessible, and reflective of the diverse populations they serve.
  • Environmental Stewardship – Investments must advance sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible use of resources.

The 2025–2030 Facilities Master Plan also directly supports the five strategic priorities reaffirmed in the University’s 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, Maintaining Momentum: rigorous academics; university life and climate; community engagement; university infrastructure; and fiscal stability. Taken together, these priorities underscore the importance of facilities as both enablers of mission and signals of institutional values.

This plan summarizes key accomplishments from the prior planning period, identifies seven high-impact priorities for 2025–2030, and outlines additional identified initiatives. Collectively, these priorities ensure that ̨ÍåSwag’s physical environment and technological infrastructure continues to reflect the strength, care, and intentionality of the institution itself.
